At Dramatic Play LLC, our mission is to provide creative remedies to differentiate learning, build community, and create environments of cultural understanding for schools, businesses, and communities through innovative arts education and outreach initiatives.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Khaleshia Thorpe-Price is the owner and Dramatic Solutions Architect at Dramatic Play. She is an Imagination Cultivator. Khaleshia is a versatile creator, educator and problem solver. She aims to dazzle participants with the love of play and creative investigation. She has worked in the field of arts education for over 20 years. 

 

In addition to her work at Dramatic Play, Khaleshia is a Master Teaching Artist with the Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning through the Arts, and she is a Maryland State Arts Council Roster Artist. She has facilitated residencies and workshops for children and adults nationally. 

 

Khaleshia has worked and collaborated with many organizations, including Folger Shakespeare Library, Shakespeare Theatre Company, and Ford's Theatre.

​

Khaleshia is the Maryland Director for Teaching Artists of the Mid-Atlantic (TAMA), a network that advocates for, empowers, and supports Teaching Artists throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.  She has a BA in Theater Arts from Morgan State University and an MA in Arts Management from the University of Central Florida.
